American AI reception tools list Open Dental, Dentrix, and Eaglesoft on their integration pages. None of those run UK practices. If you manage a practice here, your diary lives in one of a fairly short list of British systems — so that's the list that matters when you ask any tool, including ours, “what do you integrate with?”
The systems UK practices actually run
| System | Vendor | Hosting | Developer access |
|---|---|---|---|
| EXACT | Software of Excellence (Henry Schein One) | On-premise server | No public API |
| Dentally | Henry Schein One | Cloud | Public REST API (developer.dentally.co) |
| Sensei Cloud | Carestream Dental | Cloud | API via the Sensei Developer Program |
| R4+ | Carestream Dental (Sensei) | On-premise server | No public API |
| SFD v6 | Systems for Dentists | Server or hosted | By arrangement |
| iSmile | iSmile Dental Software | Server or hosted | By arrangement |
| Pearl | Pearl Dental Software | Cloud or on-premise | By arrangement |
| Aerona | Aerona (popular in NI & Ireland) | Cloud | Integration partners |
| Bridge-IT | Software 4 Dentists | Server or hosted | By arrangement |
Two practical takeaways from that table. First, the largest UK install bases — EXACT and R4+ — are server-based systems without a public API, so any tool promising “deep integration” with them deserves sharp questions. Second, the cloud systems (Dentally, Sensei Cloud, Aerona) are where real, supported integrations are possible today.
How we work alongside your PMS today
Deliberately, at arm's length. The current release never reads or writes your practice management system. When a patient texts back after a missed call, the dashboard shows reception the conversation, the urgency grade, and a recommended next action — and your team verifies the patient's identity in your own PMS before acting, exactly as they would for any phone call. That keeps patient records inside the system you already trust, and it means we work the same way whether you run EXACT, R4+, Dentally, or anything else.
The integration roadmap, honestly
Direct diary integration is on our roadmap in the order the APIs make possible:
- Dentally first. A documented public REST API makes appointment-slot lookup and write-back technically straightforward to do safely.
- Sensei Cloud second, through the Sensei Developer Program.
- EXACT and R4+stay on the reception-verified manual workflow until their vendors expose supported interfaces — we won't screen-scrape a clinical system.
Even once integrations land, the safety contract doesn't change: the system proposes, reception confirms. No booking goes into any diary without a human clicking it. If you want to see what that feels like in practice, the live demo runs the full workflow on fixture data, and you can book a free demo for a walkthrough against your own front-desk process.
